Your feet are dry because the rain/melted snow combination evaporates 1 foot off the ground. It's foggy at about 4 feet off the ground and rain is falling out of it. Any character 5 feet or taller gets snow on their head, which melts almost immeadiatly. None of the ice falls past 20 feet up but snow does. 'It used to take 3 days to get to town and now it takes almost 3 weeks.' Usually nasty, rifts opening up, like someone else said or entire tracks of land just bleed through. Deserts full of fire elementals and grassy planes full of things from the beast lands. Planes begining to shift/ encroaching on areas. If you're outside then it's almost a disaster. If you're inside you have to unplaster yourself from the ceiling when you enter the room or area. You might not want to force people to be in there too long. No, seriously I have 47 hit points and I'm gonna die.' 'I'm out of here I'm going back to the road and walking back down south on it until my magic starts working again. I've played with people running characters who flat out refused to even enter the magic dead areas. I suppose the magic user can go buy some chain or plate mail for use during the duration of their stay but they still wouldn't have weapon proficiencies and would be incredibly weak. All the healing spells are gone and the potions useless here. They don't have any armor and they have no way to attack literally, a staff and 2 daggers. yeah, that's a magic dead area.įorced isn't a good word when talking about Dnd characters and the choices they make afterall I chose to make my character a magic user and now, in this late hour, you're telling me that I can't use magic.
